D R Horton coercion of seniors and consumers generally.

In South Carolina, Reylando Melendez, David Champoux and dozens of their neighbors have all had court ordered temporary restraining orders placed on them to prevent picketing and informing their neighbors about severe construction defects, and serious land misrepresentations and fraud respectively.

Before the gag order on Melendez, I learned that he was approached in the courtroom lobby by one of D R Horton’s many nationwide law firms which proclaimed that he “didn’t have to go in there” and intimated that he would lose his shirt if he did. God forbid, and backed up by the South Carolina Court for that matter, that he state that the structural roof trusses installed in his home were termite infested after having been left out on the mud for months prior to construction.

Champoux’s transgressions are even more egregious. He wanted to warn future consumers that D R Horton’s promise that the golf course fronting their property would remain in operation until 2010 was actually fraudulent. It would seem that D R Horton was ready to construct 199 units of housing for the new owners to gaze onto. If they were all painted green it would be just like looking onto a par-4, which of course has no impact on property values whatsoever.  Please visit the following associate's link.  She did a real good job posting this story half way down on her (its actually a guy) site and entitled "Developer seeks injunction: D R Horton wants to stop protesters."  Also keep in mind that the same type of 'rezoning' after consumers had paid lot premiums for their views had also occurred in the Sunridge Heights community of Henderson Nevada.  Yet another pattern of RICO activity-will this ever end?

D R Horton insiders have informed me that: “….most of the remaining employees are so disgruntled and disgusted at their own employer, they can't believe they still work there. Having moved here from elsewhere, I knew nothing of the company. I worked there for quite a while when I couldn't take it anymore, due to some of the poorest management I have EVER experienced and totally repulsive culture of the company. I have witnessed MANY times DRH attempting to not pay employees money that was owed to them. They absolutely do not care one iota for the customer, and a bunch of frat boy ideology implemented by local goons is the reality of the workplace. It is simply a comedy of errors. It fully represents the ills of our corporate identity in this country...not a pretty picture. The most difficult part of working there, for me, was the consistent advocacy from the top forwarding the agenda of the far right political spectrum of this country. They completely endorse Christianity, the war, celebrating the killing of Iraqi soldiers via a white supremacist web site, and on and on. As if Horton never considered the fact that perhaps they employed non-Christians or any minorities that could be offended by this pro-Christian and racist rhetoric, that perhaps the workplace is not the correct environment for furthering one's own political agenda, etc etc. These emails were sent to EVERY EMPLOYEE in the country, and I have copies of them. Plus, many employees emblazoned 'W' stickers all over their office and were verbally abusive of "liberal's" which was reaffirmed by the higher-ups. This was the acceptable opinion, that was clear. Also, every employee in this region was sent an email by our city manager to vote for a specific candidate due to his "pro-development" stance. The best is yet to come, though. I was just given a video, which I have in my possession, that has D R Horton City Manager, Ron Bunner, and his Sales Manager, Marisa Meier, acting out a "skit" called 'Pimp my Trailer', which was used for an ongoing contest between this regions cities. This, of course, was dreamed up by this regions head honcho, Doug Brown. It is clear that if any of the Horton employees were black (they aren't...they do not employ ONE black person in this region), the people involved in this "skit" would have thought twice about such obviously inconsiderate at best and racist at worst type of behavior. If nothing else, it is in terribly bad taste. Having been in the presence of these people socially and professionally, I can tell you that many of them have made numerous racist statements, as if my also being white makes it ok for them to say the things they did while in my presence. They were not acceptable, and now that I have ended my employment with them, I wish for this truth to be told.

The video will be made available on U tube when time permits.
